This Privacy Policy explains how DrivePB, Inc. ("Drive PB," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use drivepb.com, the Drive PB tournament application, jomgpickleball.com, and related services (the "Platform"), or when you register for or attend one of our events.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account and profile: name, email address, phone number, city/state, profile photo, password.
  • Player details: date of birth or age (used to verify age-division eligibility), gender (used for division and pairing eligibility), DUPR ID and rating, club or team affiliation, partner name, shirt size.
  • Registration details: the events and divisions you enter, roster and substitute assignments, lunch or meal selections and any dietary notes you provide, emergency contact name and phone number.
  • Payment details: submitted directly to our payment processor. We receive a confirmation, the amount, the last four digits of the card, and the card brand. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Communications: messages, support requests, survey and form responses.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps, and similar log data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, including analytics. See Section 5 and our Cookie Policy.

Information from other sources

  • DUPR or other rating providers, to verify or refresh your rating.
  • Club or team captains, who may submit roster information about you, including your name, email, and rating.
  • Payment processor, for transaction status and fraud signals.

Sensitive information. We do not intentionally collect health information. If you voluntarily provide details such as a food allergy or an injury-related withdrawal, we use it only for that purpose and delete it when no longer needed.

2. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process registrations, payments, and refunds.
  • Build brackets, schedules, pools, rosters, and results.
  • Verify division eligibility, including age and rating.
  • Communicate with you about events: confirmations, schedule changes, weather updates, player packets, and results.
  • Send marketing about upcoming tournaments, leagues, and promotions, where permitted (see Section 7).
  • Provide customer support.
  • Coordinate on-site logistics such as check-in, meals, and emergency contact in case of injury.
  • Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Platform.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, rating misrepresentation, and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Information that is public

The following is displayed publicly on the Platform and may be indexed by search engines: your name, club or team affiliation, division, DUPR rating, partner or teammate names, seeding, match results, scores, and standings.

Event photography and video may show your image and is published on our website and social media. See Section 6.

Your email address, phone number, date of birth, emergency contact, and payment details are not displayed publicly.

4. How we share information

  • Event Organizers and host facilities. For events we do not run ourselves, we share the registration information needed to run the event with the organizer and venue. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.
  • Club and team captains. Captains can see roster information for their own team, including player names, ratings, and contact details needed to coordinate.
  • Service providers. Payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, hosting and infrastructure, analytics (such as Google Analytics), and productivity tools (such as Google Workspace). They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Rating systems. Match results and player identifiers may be submitted to DUPR for rating purposes.
  • Sponsors. We share aggregate, non-identifying event data with sponsors by default. We do not share your name, email, or phone number with sponsors unless you separately opt in, such as by entering a sponsor giveaway, visiting a sponsor booth and providing your information, or checking a box authorizing it.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person, including responding to a medical emergency at an event.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand how the Platform is used. We may use Google Analytics for analytics and advertising measurement tools such as Meta Pixel. Use of those tools may qualify as "targeted advertising" or "sharing" under some state privacy laws. See our Cookie Policy for details.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may break parts of the Platform. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to turn off analytics and marketing cookies.

6. Photos and video

We photograph and record at our events. As described in our Terms of Use, participation grants us a license to use your image, likeness, and event results in promotional and editorial materials. If you would prefer not to be featured, email info@drivepb.com before the event. We cannot guarantee exclusion from crowd shots, live streams, or content captured by third parties.

7. Email and text messages

Transactional messages — registration confirmations, schedule changes, weather alerts, player packets, results — are part of the service and are sent to all registered players. You cannot opt out of these while registered for an event.

Marketing messages are sent only where permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message. If you consent to text messages, message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. We do not sell or share phone numbers collected for SMS with third parties for their own marketing.

8. Data retention

We keep account and registration information for as long as your account is active, and afterward as needed to maintain historical event records, resolve disputes, comply with tax and accounting requirements, and enforce our agreements. Signed waivers and injury-related records are retained for at least the applicable statute of limitations. Historical results, brackets, and standings may be retained indefinitely as part of the public record of an event.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and notify us at info@drivepb.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Players under 18 may be registered only by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the minor's information and consents to this Policy on the minor's behalf. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact info@drivepb.com and we will delete it.

11. Your choices and rights

You may review and update most account information by logging in. You may also contact us at info@drivepb.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
  • correct inaccuracies;
  • request deletion;
  • obtain a portable copy;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain profiling.

To exercise these rights, email info@drivepb.comwith the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before responding, typically by confirming control of your account email. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response; if the appeal is denied, Texas residents may contact the Texas Attorney General.

Note that we may retain information needed for legal, tax, safety, or dispute-resolution purposes, and we cannot remove your name and results from the historical record of a completed public tournament.

12. Third-party sites

The Platform links to third-party sites and services, including sponsors, host facilities, DUPR, and our payment processor. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

13. Location of processing

We operate in the United States and process information here. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide reasonable notice, such as by email or an in-Platform notice.
